BioFlex™ is a packaging solution that is designed for disposal in a landfill to increase biogas production using today’s infrastructure. Landfills are currently using biogas to create green energy to power homes, electric cars, and more.*
*BioFlex™ has been shown to increase Biogas production up to 46.3% compared to traditional plastic packaging in the ideal conditions of an anerobic digestor landfill over the course of 695 days, using the ASTM D5511-12 test. When disposed of in a landfill with modern biogas capture technologies, this energy can be harnessed as a source of renewable energy. Such a facility may not exist in your area.

Nothing. BioFlex™ is an easy-to-use product that requires no change in consumer habits.
Modern landfills are minimizing their impact on the environment by capturing the landfill gases from decomposing trash that would otherwise be released into the air and using it to generate energy, offsetting fossil fuel use. The U.S. EPA endorses landfill gas as a renewable energy resource, along with wind, solar, and geothermal energy.
You would need to check locally in your community. Currently there are 619 landfill gas projects in the US.

The many layers used in flexible packaging usually prevent the packaging from being recycled economically or efficiently.
As a result, municipalities generally do not accept this type of packaging with your curbside collection. You may drop off some flexible packaging materials at the recycling depot or at a store drop-off. You would need to check if this service is available in your area.
No, BioFlex™ is not designed to compost.
